In 2014, Plancast made the decision to launch our capabilities in Australia, bringing
not only our skills but also our training and development abilities to boost employment
and increase skills to these shores.
Our mission is to build on our success in the UK, Europe and the Middle East within
Australia and create a company to rival its’ sister in the UK by developing on the
skills we have gained in fibre, coax and copper.
By 2006, Plancast had developed its offerings to new development telecommunications
plan and build services, designing and installing fibre, coax and copper to homes
and businesses throughout the United Kingdom.
With the dramatic and sudden demand for fibre to the home, premise and building solutions,
Plancast began working on the BT Openreach project to bring super fast broadband
to rural areas across the UK and are now the lead supplier of these services in Wales.
Plancast now has a workforce of over 200 people.
Plancast began life in 2002 in the UK, designing and planning telecommunications
networks for NTL and Telewest (now Virgin Media) and railway signalling systems,
including computer aided design and system support services.
Within a very short space of time, Plancast became the principle contractor for the
design of Virgin Media’s MDU (Multi-Dwelling Unit) and new development programs.
This spring boarded Plancast’s scope and we soon moved in to network asset protection
services, working for Verizon Business and Interoute.
